- Lisa Pollard
is a great musician and dear friend. She played with Duke
Ellington on the road back in the early 70's. A one of a kind
musician and human being who transcends labels.
- The
American Bach Soloists
together with the
Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra
are something truly wonderful. Typically playing with
18th century instruments, they bring the kind of energy,
spontaneity and excitement to classical music that you typically
associate with jazz. I've always enjoyed classical music, but
these people are truly something else! Even with the old favorites
like "The Four Seasons" or the "Bach B-minor Mass", it's like hearing
this music for the first time.
- The
Royal Court Brass
is a brass ensemble I started up waaaay back in 1970 before
I left for UC Berkeley. It has been kept alive by the wonderful
Bryce Martens, a great friend, and a man full of music, love, and hope.
