Four Blind Men Describe An Elephant

Four blind men were asked to describe an elephant.

One blind man grabbed hold of the elephant's trunk and declared the elephant to be a hose.

Another blind man felt the side of the elephant and declared it to be a wall.

The third blind man grabbed the elephant's tail and declared it to be a rope.

The last blind man tried to put his arms around one of the elephant's legs and declared it to be a tree.

Just as the blind men can each only describe one part of the elephant, so are we in any attempt we might make to describe God.
